Forty-six grams of heroine and 2kgs of dagga were seized at the Cape Mail post office in Elsie River, Western Cape police said on Saturday.
The haul was seized by border police posted at Cape Town International Airport on Friday morning, said Warrant Officer November Filander.
A box wrapped in gift paper containing 2.1kg of compressed dagga and two bags containing 46g of heroine were found during a routine check.
The combined value of the confiscated items was estimated at R12 500.
No arrests had been made by Saturday morning. - Sapa
